“PULL HIM TO PIECES”

WALSH UNPOPULAR MARCH OF ANGRY SEAMEN (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY, Thursday. There was a iriarch by 300 angry seamen, six abreast, through the heart of the city to-day. Some of them exclaimed: “Where is he? Where is Tom Walsh? We will pull him to pieces.” The mob was grimly bent on ejecting Walsh from the offices of the Seamen’s Union, of which he was recently appointed secretary, and was muttering excitedly. It aroused, considerable interest among the public. Two of the seamen said they were going to wreck the office and “cleau up” Walsh, but Walsh was not there, so they did not carry out their threat.
