The Rev. F. Greenwood presided over tlie large gathering of friends and supporters of the club. Much credit is due for the very high standard attained by the members to Mrs. Edelsten. who has acted as instructress. Exhibitions of swarming, vaulting and Roman rings were given by the combined class, while the junior members gave displays of floor drill and scarf drill. The senior girls gave very creditable displays of flag drill and maze, Swedish drill, and tug-of-war. Novelty races were held for both sections of the club. The display finished with a very picturesque march, -The Lantern Maze,” by the full club. Miss H. Johnson was accompanist. Interspersed with the drill displays were a number of musical items rendered by Misses Hill and Johnson, pianoforte duet; Miss O. Tucker, Miss H. Johnson, and Miss E. Shepherd, vocal solos.
