j MANY GUESTS ENTERTAINED
ENJOYABLE DANCE After the marriage of their daughter Enid, to Mr. William Bond, which took place at St. Paul’s Church on Wednesday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. P. Grace entertained a large number of guests at a reception in the Manchester Unity Hall, followed in the evening by a dance there. | The hall was attractively decorated * i with banks of stocks and gaily-coloured > iceland poppies. Mrs. Grace received the guests wearing a smart frock of r parma violet crepe de chine, panelled with ecru lace, and worn with a hat to tone. Ellis, apricotr'silk marocain and gold lace panels. PLAYS AT Y.W.C.A. Two excellently-produced plays were presented by the senior members of the Y.W.C.A. last evening. The producers were Mrs. Nello Porter and Dr. Brownell. The amateur actresses were Misses M. Hinge, L. Williams, C. Simpson, D. Biggs, N. Melville, R. Uphill, E. Lord, D. Williams, I. Somerville, A. Smith, M. McMiken, L. Deason and and I. Grace. There was a good attendance and the proceeds all go to the conference funds of the senior clubs.
