Mrs. Sidney Wright, of Maunsell Road, Parnell, has returned from a visit to Wellington. # Miss Darling, of Auckland, who is on a motor touring holiday, spent a few days in Hamilton this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. Sparrow, of Dunedin, and Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Norton, of Hanmer, are at the Central liotel. Mrs. T. N. Hall, of Hamilton, and Mrs. A. Montogmerie, of Hamilton, are staying at the Star Hotel. * * * Mr. and Mrs. H. Langgutlim, of Rotorua, and Mrs. H. L. Dinsdale, o£ Te Kuiti, are guests at the Royal Hotel. * * * Staying at the Hotel Cargen are Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Brabazon, of Whangarei; and Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Wade, of Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. John Cullen, of Reimuera, left on Monday for National Park and Rangipo, for the opening of the fishing season. ST. AIDAN’S BAZAAR FUNDS RAISED FOR BUILDING Yesterday afternoon the ladies of St. Aidan Church congregation held a bazaar in the church hall to raise funds for building work and to help Wipe out the parish debt. The stalls were prettily decorated with, pink paper flowers intertwined with sprays of lycopodium and bamboo leaves. Pink flowers were also strung across the ceiling and bamboo foliage was used to decorate the stage on which afternoon tea was served, the tables being ornamented with vases of Iceland poppies. t The Right Rev. Bishop Anderson, who was introduced by the Rev. H. A. Coleman, minister of St. Aidan’s, opened the bazaar. The ladies in charge of the stalls were as follow: —Produce, Mrs. Wilcox, Mrs. Wrlgley, Mrs. Harrowell and Miss Kidd; Christmas gift stall, Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Jones; Meadowbank stall, Mrs. Ernest Wigg and Mrs. S. Williams; sweets, Mrs. Burch er, Mrs. Morton, and ladies of the choir; general stall, Mrs. Coleman, Miss downhill, and members of the G.F.S. and Girl Guides; flowers, Mrs. Barton and Mrs. Shuttleworth; fancy stall, Mrs. Woods and Miss Woods; plain Sewing, Mrs. Reid, Mrs. Burbush and Mrs. Sutton; cakes, Mrs. Holderness, Mrs. Weir, Mrs. Dawson, Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Morton, and Mrs. Innes; toys, Mrs. Garrett and Miss Towle; afternoon tea. Miss Giesen and helpers. Miss Nancy Garrett, dressed as Father Christmas, gave away toys to the younger children. The bazaar will be continued this afternoon and evening, when musical items and competitions will be held.
