MINISTER’S ADVOCACY WEE YEARS TOO SHORT (Special to THE SUN) HAMILTON, To-day. Idvocating an extension of the life Parliament, the Hon. ,T. A. Young, Srm candidate for Hamilton, spoakU Te Rapa, said he was satisfied ♦ years was too short. Little legislative progress was made j. Ihi first year of a Parliament, and ! second was the real working year, the third year members were more teemed with elections than work, le three-year period did not give fficient time for the proper developrat of a policy, and therefore, if lie d the opportunity he would vote to ;tend the life of Parliament to four #r» at least. Speaking at Springdale, Mr. D. S. id, Reform candidate for Waikato. » said that an extension should be tde to four years.
