DEVONPORT WATER RATES
The Devonport Borough Council has decided that the half year’s service charge of 3s 9d on water meters will be levied only on properties where meters are installed. Ratepayers were astonished this week at receiving water charge notices, including the 3s 9d, whether meters were provided or not. The council has decided further that in meter readings up to September, the old methods of charging will be used.
