FAMOUS WAR ACE

RESTORED TO FULL PAY (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Wednesday. Air-Commander Samson, one of the most famous war personalities, and a pioneer of British naval flying, has been restored to full pay as from October 1. Surprise was expressed in 1927 when he was placed on half-pay, though he was only 44. It is explained that there was no post available for him. The Germans during the war offered a reward of £2,000 for his capture, dead or alive.
