INFLUX OF VISITORS
OVERSEAS ARRIVALS INCREASE DECREASE IN DEPARTURES The arrivals at Auckland from overseas last month were more than double the departures, though the total number of arrivals for the first 10 months of the year is 1815 fewer than the arrivals during the corresponding period of last year. This was due largely to the restriction of immigration. The outward flow of Aucklanders continued to diminish, and in the last two months departures have been 676 fewer than in September and October last year. The following table gives the arrivals and departures for the first ten months of the year, compared with the figures for the corresponding period of 1927:
