FIFTH ROYAL SHOW CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS Press Association. PALMERSTON N., Wednesday. To-day was judging day at the Fifth Royal Show, when a splendid array of pedigree stock was presented to the judges. Weather conditions are showing an improvement and a large attendance is expected. The gate takings for both days show an increase over last year’s Manawatu Show figures, namely, first day, £3O 10s; second day, £7l 6s 6d. Johnstone’s Bushy Park Augustus Hero won the New Zealand Shorthorn Society’s cup for the' best Shorthorn, male or female, registered in the society’s herd book; also the cup for the best pedigree Shorthorn bull, presented by the Shorthorn Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
