Mr. J. Farrell, Auckland manager for J. C. Williamson, Limited, returned from Wellington yesterday. Mr. S. E. Wright, secretary of the Employers’ Association, has returned to Auckland from Wellington. Mr. V. J. Larner has been re-elected rhairman of directors of the South British Insurance Company, Limited. Professor F. P. Worley, professor of chemistry at the Auckland University College, left last evening by train for the South. Mr. F. S. Hodson, a director of Murray Roberts, Limited, ‘Wellington, returned from a visit to the United Kingdom by the Ulimaroa yesterday. The Rev. W. J. Jillings, of the Rochester Diocese, arrived from England by the Ulimaroa yesterday. He is staying with his brother in Auckland. Mr. H. J. Machjnant was elected president and Mr. A. E. Missen vice-pre-sident, at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Dairy Breeders’ Association at Palmerston. North yesterday. Mr. A. Grant and Mr. R. Grant, sheepfarmers, of Fairlie, South Canterbury, returned by the Ulimaroa yesterday after a trip to England and the Continent. They are staying at the Royal Hotel. The Rev. J. Ings, of Te Aroha, who has been in Great Britain for some months, has returned. In Scotland, Mr. Ings attended the General Assemblies of* the Church of Scotland, and of the United Free Church. In Ireland he represented the New Zealand Presbyterian Church at the General Assembly at Belfast. At the International Congress on Church Finance, held in Glasgow, he again represented New Zealand.
