HIPPODROME

“WOMAN WISE” An entertaining comedy-drama proving the proverb, “There’s safety in numbers,” will be shown at the Hippodrome Theatre this evening in “Woman Wise.” June Collyer and William Russell have the leading roles. In this romantic action story of Persia, Walter Pidgeon is cast as a United States consul at Jedda. In the oilfields comes William Russell. He seeks wealth and adventure. At heart he is a wanderer, however, an adventurer who is ever ready for a fight or a frolic, and when Miss Collyer appears upon the scene Russell immediately finds himself in the thick of battle as regards hearts and fists. “The Tigress” will be the second attraction this evening. Dorothy Revier has the role of a fiery litle gipsy maid in this story, with Jack Holt ideally cast as an English earl.
