Waihis Selling
ALTHOUGH the volume of business being transacted is not great, still prices for most stocks remain exceedingly firm. Waihi scrip sold this morning at 14s, cum. dividend.
There is still a considerable demand for bank shares. Bank of Adelaide are Arm, buyers quoting £lO, no sellers. Commercial of Australia remain steady. Bank of New South Wales are also very firm, with buyers £sl 7s 6d. no shares offering. Bank of New Zealand are in demand. Insuraitce scrip is exceptionally firm, no shares offering in several of the companies. Dalgety and Co. are in demand with buyers £ls 2s 6d, no sellers quoting. Farmers’ Auctioneering, Goldsbrough Mort and N.Z. River Plate have steady buyers. Shipping shares are attracting investors. Devonport Ferry and Hud-
dart Parker are steady. P. arid O. (deferred stock) are firm, with buyers 545, sellers 58s. Union Steam are in demand at 20s 6d. no sellers. Wilsons Cement remain firm, buyers quoting 39s 9d, sellers 40s. Bonds and debentures are exceptionally firm, few sellers appearing.
