16 BRACKETS IN MAIDEN There are no less than 16 brackets in the two divisions of the Maiden at Avondale to-morrow. They are as follow: — • First Division: Eager Rose and Fancy Boy, Fernden and Good Boy, Ilvento and Josie Melville, Lido and Lunette, Merry Light and Mon Star, Optimistic and Ponticus, Roman Pearl and St. Ames, Te Money and Tukunoa. Second Division: Envoy and Fane, Froth blower and Hands titch, Haviland and Kaiwanga, Lineroo and Lucklaine, Monetize and Mussie, Owairaka and Red Lion, Section and Sulla, Town ■ Teller and Valquette. Other brackets to-morrow are the following: Kaihu Handicap Hurdles: Clockwork and Mangaiti. Nursery Handicap: Carl Idem and Valorous. Avoca Handicap: Aussie and A war ere. REMINDERS Nominations for the • Takapuna spring fixture, to be held on November 30 and December 1. close on Friday, November 2, at 5 p.m.; final payment for the Takapuna Plate is also due then. Entries for the Te Kuiti meeting on November 24 and 26 close on Friday, November 2, at 5 p.m., with Messrs. Blomfield and Co., Auckland, and at 9 p.m. at the club’s office at Te Kuiti.
