UNITED PARTY CANDIDATE Mr. W. c. Hewitt, who was nominated yesterday as United Party can didate for the Auckland Central seat is a son of the late Mr. T. P. Hewitt a wen-known Hawke's Bay farmer. Mr. Hewitt is now practising law in Auckland and Putaruru and is living in Auckland. He was a member of the Te Awamutu-Putaruru Railwav Board Ran S r ret S ry - of the Putaruru-Taupo Railway Board. He was the first president of the Putaruru District Development Board, and for several years has been a member of the Auckland Diocesan Synod.
