ON NOVEMBER 6

KING TO OPEN PARLIAMENT SHORT FINAL SESSION British Official Wireless RUGBY, Saturday. King George will open the final session of the present Parliament with the customary pageantry on November 6. It is understood that the Cabinet, at its meeting on Monday, will further consider the details of its legislative programme and the subjects to be mentioned in the speech from the Throne. With the exception of finance the business of the session is expected to be restricted almost entirely to a report on rating and local government. Consultations are now taking place almost daily between the Minister of Health, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, and representatives of the local authorities and other bodies affected by the Government’s rating scheme.
