GIRL GUIDES CELEBRATE
TAKAPUNA PACK’S SEVENTH YEAR The seventh anniversary of the Takapuna Brownie Pack was celebrated on Saturday afternoon, when the members of the pack were entertained at St. Peter’s Parish Hall. A number of Brownies from the Devonport and Belmont packs were present, as well as those from the Brett Home. Games and competitions were held during the afternoon. Miss Betty Wilson and Miss E. Arthur were in charge of the arrangements. Among the visitors in the afternoon were: Mrs. Percival, district commissioner: Mrs. Johnston, Miss D’Esterre and Miss M. Christenson. A number of friend were present in the evening by invitation from the Takapuna troop of Girl Guides, and a number of games and competitions were played. The musical programme, which was given, included items by B. Corner, D. Whittaker, J. Booth, Blanche McKenzie, E. Hawkins and A. Mar land. Mrs. Julius Williamson and Miss Percival received bouquets of violets. Supper was served by the ladies’ committee, which was as follows: Mrs. Williamson, Mrs. Bartrum, Mrs. J. W. Wilson, Mrs. Mcßride, Miss Nash, Miss Betty Wilson, Miss Meg. Gamble, Miss Arthur.
