ONCE AND FOR ALL
SETTLING REPARATIONS QUESTION GERMANY’S DETERMINATION (United P.A. — By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) Reed. 12.5 p.m. BERLIN, Friday. The German Cabinet has decided to co-operate with the other Governments concerned to establish an independent committee of experts, not Government officials, to settle the reparations question once and for all. It will seek the views of England, France and Belgium regarding the place, time and agenda of the meeting. A British wireless message received last evening stated: It is understood that the preparations for the formation of the proposed committee of experts •on German reparation have been considerably facilitated by the conversation which took place in Paris last Friday between the British Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Winston Churchill, and the French Premier, M. Poincare. It is considered probable that the committee of experts will meet before the end of the year.
