CORSICAN BOY VOWS TO AVENGE FATHER’S MURDER —AND DOES SO!
A LASTING VENDETCA ■ OW long: a Corsican will wait for the chance to obtain vengeance is shown by the latest vendetta reported from Ghisoni, on the eastern side of Napoleon's Island. Twenty-eight years ago Adrienne Zanelli had a quarrel with a compatriot named Biggi. Zanelli eventually killed his enemy, w a s hunted do w n by the gendarmes and sentenced to 5 years’ imprisonment and five y e a r s’ exile from Corsica. Biggi had a son ten years of age at the time of the murder, and the lad swore vengeance. Zanelli di d not return to Corsica until quite recently, and meanwhile Andre Biggi had grown up. He rejoined the army and served in Morocco and on the Western Front. Lately he left the army and returned to Ghisoni. The day after his return he heard that the murderer of his father was in Ghisoni. He sought out Zanelli, now a man of Go, and shot him dead. Biggi fled into the wilds and is j being hunted by gendarmes.
