ROTORUA INTERESTS
At the meeting of the Rotorua Borough Council, the following recommendations horn the special committee set up to d?al with the question of camp sites were adopted: That two additional blocks be purchased for the purpose of a camp sHe, at an additional cost of £350, mak“B the toal cost of the proposed purehase of Steele’s block £1,350; also, that ■* Finance Committee prepare and submit a scheme to provide for the payinent of the land, witlv the suggestion Ultimate cost to the ratepayers be spread over a number of Sears. * * * .Out of 46 applications, Mr. D. M. Ford, « Takapuna, was appointed by the Eotorua Borough Council to the position or traffic inspector. * * * Messrs. Geary and Clark have secured th« contracts for the new addition to tne Rotorua Rost Office. The rompleOon of the work will mean that the local office will become a ledger office, which will enable people with Post Office Savlfl£s Bank accounts to <Jraw money when required, over the counter, instead of waiting permission from the Hamilton office.
