DOMINION PROGRESS
LIBERALISM RESPONSIBLE (Special to TUB SUN) WAITOA, To-day. “The United Party stands for progress, prosperity, and the happiness of the people,” said Air. F. Lye, United Party candidate for Waikato, at his Waitoa meeting last evening. He went on to say that Liberalism was deep in the hearts of the people, and had been responsible for the Dominion’s progress. In criticising the banking system in New Zealand, Air. Lye said revision was necessary. He declared that he would never voto to put Labour in power, and the only pledge he had given to his party was to vote with it to put the Government out of office.
