PRINCE EDWARD
“WILD WEST ROMANCE” “The Devil Dancer,” starring Oilda Gray, will be shown at the Prince Edward Theatre again this evening. On a visit to Phari, a Tibetan town near the Indian border, a young British surveyor was told of a formidable monastery somewhere to the south, inhabited by lamas of the Black Sect, where many weird, startling rites were practised. As a rule, all the Tibetan devil dancers are male. But in this monastery there was supposed to be a girl called a dakini, who danced before the gods in the temple. This dakini symbolised the spirit of death, and at special dances, such as those inaugurating a Grand Lama or during the Tibetan New Year, she performed. “Wild West Romance,” which will also be shown, is a thrilling picture starring Rex Bell.
