WATERSIDER INJURED

CASE SLIPS FROM SLING A waterside worker, Mr. Jack Grant, aged 58, of 228 Hobson Street, received serious head injuries while unloading cargo from the Kazembe at Central Wharf yesterday afternoon. A sling carrying three cases of storage batteries slipped, and one of the cases hit Mr. Grant on the head. Mr. Grant was taken to hospital by the St. John Ambulance, and his condition this morning, though still serious, is much improved.
