Duke Abbey was scratched for all engagements at the Canterbury Jockey Club’s meeting at 9 a.m. to-day. Goshawk has been rehandicapped from 7.9 to 5.6 in the Stewards’ Handicap, to be run on November 3. REMINDERS Acceptances for the first day of the Dargaville meeting (to be held at Avondale on Thursday and Saturday, November 1 and 3) are due with Mr. A. J. Farquhar (Avondale Jockey Club) at 5 p.m. to-morrow (Friday). Nominations for the Takapuna spring fixture, to be held on November 30 and December 1, close on Friday, November 2. at 5 p.m.; final payment for the Takapuna Plate is also due. Entries for the Te Kuiti meeting on November 24 and 26 close on Friday, November 2, at 5 p.m., with Messrs. Blomfield and Co.. Auckland, and at 3 p.m. at the club’s office at Te Kuiti. /
