NEW ORIENT LINER.—A further addition has been made to the Orient Line in the Orford, -which left London on October 13 on her first voyage to Australia. She is the fourth 20.000-ton vessel built for the Orient Line within the past four years, her sister ships being the Oramu. Otranto and Oronsay. Like her sister ships, the Orford has been specially designed for the passenger and mail service between Australia and England. A special feature of her first-class accommodation is the great proportion of singleberth cabins. The public rooms are beautifully appointed, and the large decks give passengers every opportunity for sports and recreation. The Orford will be followed next year by the Orontes, another 20,000-ton liner which is at present under construction. The Orford is commanded by Captain L. A. Owens, and is expected to arrive at Sydney on November 22.
