SUICIDE BY HANGING
DEATH OF YOUNG SEAMAN (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Tuesday. The fact that the body of an unknown man found hanging at Roto-o-rangi, near Cambridge, on or about August 7 last, was that of a seaman named Herbert Young, was established at an adjourned inquest held in Hamilton to-day before the coroner, Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M. Evidence was given by Benjamin Sutherland, mercer anu clothier, of Auckland, that a seaman named Herbert Young had bought clothing from him. Witness identified the clothing taken from the body as belonging to Young and also identified a photograph of deceased produced by the police. Young was an unmarried able-bodied seaman, recently arrived from England, with no relatives in the Dominion so far as was known. A verdict that deceased, identified as a seaman named Herbert Young, met his death by committing suicide at Roto-o-rangi, was returned.
