He has been advised that he must rest for a short period to prepare for the strenuous work in front of him. llis tour of the South therefore has been postponed in the meantime. Ho expresses his hope that the people of New Zealand will excuse him from making the political addresses as he had intended doing. He states definitely that, despite criticisms by his opponents with regard to his loan proposals, if given the opportunity he will put them into effect.
