GOVERNMENT IN BUSINESS MR. J. B. DONALD’S ATTITUDE Saying that he did not object to the Government being in the fire and life insurance business. Mr. J. B. Donald. United Party candidate for Auckland Bast, addressed a meeting last evening at the Methodist Mission Kail. Airedale Street. He added, however, that the Government sometimes entered business only to find jobs for ••hangerson.” The'candidate complained that there were too many professional politicians, and the country needed men who would give 12 months’ service a year, not three. A vote of confidence was carried.
