MOTORISTS BEFORE COURT POLICE AND CITY CASES There was a slight increase in the number of motorists charged before the Police and Magistrate’s Courts this morning, and it was nearly noon before the business was completed. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., presided over the Police Court, and Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., controlled the Magistrate’s Court. CITY CASES Fines of 10s and costs were imposed on G. Croft, A. E. Irving, A. T. Craig and C. L. Wah Jang for leaving cars unattended. I. Whiteney, who failed to obey a traffic officer, was fined £1 and costs; a similar fine was imposed on W. E. Taylor and Son, whose omnibus caused an undue noise. For turning to the right J. Williamson was tiued 10s and costs. SUBURBAN CASES Dangerous driving on the roads controlled by the Waitemata County Council resulted in A. Field, H. A. Swenson, F. S. Stevens and H. Wright being fined £1 and costs each. J. H. Bates was ordered to pay costs. D. F. Lundon was fined 10s for cutting a traffic dome and was ordered to pay costs for having his tail light in the wrong position. Dangerous driving in the One Tree Hill Road Board area cost R. A. Allen £ 1 and costs. POLICE PROSECUTIONS For driving with faulty lighting equipment. J. Aitcheson, B. Denly. J. Hellaby and C. G. Nicliolls were each fined 10s and costs; O. Alford, F. Elliott, W. A. Eddowes, H. Fuller. J. B. Ferguson, B. Foley. H. R. Key worth, R. Kemp, J. A. McLean, W. R. Smith, and A. E. Thode were each fined 6s and costs; C. F. Bennett and J. G. Brook were convicted and discharged. Speeding cost A. L. Cannon and P. Lock £1 and costs each; W. J. Norton was fined £2 and costs for failing to give way to a vehicle approaching from the right. Breaches of parking regulations cost A. B. Congdon and W. McAra 10s and costs each; A. E. Clayton was fined £2 and costs for cutting a corner; W. Kropp was fined 10s for driving without a licence, and T. Misa. who passed a stationary tram in Queen Street, was fined £2 and costs.
