Chief Inspector * Fisheries, is visiting Auckland. He is Staying at the Star Hotel. Commissioner James Hay. of the Salvation Army, and Mrs. Hay arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Lord Lovat will return home direct from New Zealand, cutting out his Australian tour, so it is officially announced from London. Dr. H. Jellett arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. He will address the Auckland Hospital Board during his stay in Auckland. Mr. M. M. McCallum, who has been on a visit to Wellington, left the Limited at Frankton Junction this morning. He will return to Auckland to-morrow. LieuL-Colonel H. E. Pilkington, CJVI.G., Quartermaster-General New Zealand Forces, arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited. The Hon. W. Nosworthy, PostmasterGeneral, Minister of External Affairs, arrived back in Wellington to-day from i. visit to Canada. —P.A. Dr. E. Marsden. D.Sc., Secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, returned to-day from a tour of America and England. P.A. Mr. D. J- Hogg. Government Orchard Instructor, who has been stationed at Christchurch during the past four years, has been transferred to Blenheim, where he will be in charge. Sir Granville Ryrie, High Commissioner for Australia in London, who has undergone an operation, is making good progress, says an Australian and N.Z. Press Association message.
