CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING
NEW LYNN GUN CLUB The New Lynn Gun Club held a clay-bird shoot on Saturday for the purpose of opening Its new ground in Archibald Road, New Lynn. The club, which has been in existence for nine months, and has a membership of 40, hopes to make the ground most modern for trap shooting purposes. It is already an ideal place for clay-bird shooting. A seven-bird match for the Mirral Cup resulted in a win for A. Hannigan, 17yds.. with the highest aggregate of 23 points. A. McCredie, 10yds, was runner-up with 21 points. The big match was for Mr. H. E. Wright’s trophy, and drew an entry of 20 shooters. B. Hodge, 18yds. won with the possible of 15 birds. A. lieCredie, 19yds, was second with 14 birds. The' next shoot takes place on November S.
