REFORM IN TAURANGA

MR. C. E. MACMILLAN AT WHAKATANE (Special to THE SUN) WHAKATANE, Friday. A vigorous review of the achievements of the Reform Government, the only Government in the world that had retained office during and after the war, was given by Mr. C. E. Macmillan, Reform candidate for Tauranga, who addressed a meeting of electors at Whakatane last evening. The attendance was small owing to the heavy rain which fell throughout the evening. The Mayor of Whakatane, Mr. W. Sullivan, presided. Much of the address was along similar lines to that given in other parts of the electorate. A vote of thanks and confidence in the candidate was carried by acclamation.
