ROUND MT. EGMONT
ROAD RACE OF 95 MILES Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, To-day. • The annual road race of 95 miles round Mount Egmont took place to-day. Out of the 48 entries only three were scratched. Tho weather was showery this morning. but cleared for the start, promising to be fine for the journey. The Mayor, Mr. Victor Griffiths, dispatched the limit men on the 40-minute mark, and each group got away well. Cheers were raised as the scratch trio left. L. Hill led away with McCann lying third. The winner should arrive at the racecourse about 3.30 p.m.
