EMPIRE FORESTRY DELEGATES
VISIT TO DARGAVILLE (Special to THE SUN) DARGAVILLE, Friday*. Members of the Empire Forestry Delegation arrived at Dargaville by motor-car from Auckland via Maungaturoto this afternoon, and were met by the Mayor, representing the Dargaville Borough Council, and Mr. V. Trounson, Hobson County Council. Subsequently the party went to Babylon, and inspected the newlyerected kauri gum and by-products extraction works, which are quite a new departure in the kauri gum industry.
The delegates were given a civic reception at the municipal chambers in the evening, afer which they resumed their conference.
The party will go to-morrow morning to the Trounson Kauri Park and the Waipoua Forest, and will return to Dargavillo about 4 p.m., and will later return to Maungaturoto, where they will take the train for Auckland, where thpy will arrive shortly after midnight.
