AUXILIARY SCHOONER PIRI.—The Nobel auxiliary schooner Piri Is to leave Melbourne early next week with explosives for' Greymouth, Westport and Auckland.
LIONEL SAILED. —The Norwegian motor-ship Lionel sailed for New Plymouth and Australia at mid-day yesterday to complete discharging sulphur from Texas.
MARGARET W. COMING. —The fourmasted auxiliary schooner Margaret W. is to leave Port Stephens during the week-end with a full cargo of hardwood timber for discharge at Motu River, Bay of Plenty and at Waikato Heads.
MAKURA FROM SAN FRANCISCO.— The Royal Mail liner Makura, with passengers, mail and cargo from San Francisco, Papeete and Rarotonga, is clue at Wellington on Monday morning. Owing to Monday being a holiday she is to resume her voyage to Sydney at noon on Wednesday.
MAHENO LEAVES SYDNEY. —The Union Company’s inter-colonial steamer Maheno left Sydney at mid-day yesterday with passengers, mail and cargo for Auckland. Shb is due on Tuesday morning and a berth has been allotted at Queen’s Wharf.
BENHOLM LEAVES NEW YORK. — Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the A. and A. Line chartered steamer Benholm left New York last Friday with general cargo to discharge at Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on November IS
SOMERSET FOR FOUR PORTS.— The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cable that the Federal steamer Somerset, which left Liverpool on October 13 for New Zealand ports, will discharge only at Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin—not at 'Napier and Timaru as first advised. She is due at- Auckland on November 25.
WIRRAL FROM M ON TR E A L.—Advice received bv the New Zealand Shipping Company states the chartered steamer Wirral reached Panama on October 13 and sailed the same day .in continuation of her voyage from Montreal to Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland about November 10.
WAIRUNA SAILS.— The Union Company’s trans-Pacific steamer Wairuna was dispatched for Vancouver, via Apia and Fanning Island, last evening. The vessel will subsequently load at Pacific Coast ports and she is scheduled to clear Lbs Angeles on December 7 for Fapeete. Auckland, Wellington. Melbourne and Sydney.
AORANGI FROM VANCOUVER.— Having left Vancouver last Wednesday for Sydney, via ports, the Union Company’s R.M.M.S. Aorangi is due at Auckland on Sunday, November 4, and sails tho following day for tlie New South Wales port.
lONIC AT WELLINGTON.—To complete her loading the White Star liner lonic arrived at Wellington this morning from Napier. She is scheduled to clear Wellington at daybreak next Friday, October 26, for Southampton and London, via Panama.
PORT FREMANTLE AT NEW PLYMOUTH.—The C. and D. Line advises that the motor-ship Port Fremantle arrived at New Plymouth yesterday from Wanganui and later proceeds to Wellington to complete her loading. She sails finally from Wellington on October 31 for London, via Panama.
NIAGARA DUE MONDAY. —The local office of the Union Company expects the R.M.S. Niagara, which left Sydney at 11.30 a.m. yesterday for Auckland, to arrive here on Monday evening. She will berth at the Queen’s Wharf, and at 11 a.m. next Wednesday she leaves Auckland for Suva, Honolulu, Victoria and Vancouver.
MANUKA TO RESUME—The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the passenger steamer Manuka is to resume her running in the New Zealand-Melbourne service. The vessel is to sail from Wellington on Friday, October 26, for Melbourne direct, and is to leave the Victorian port on November 7 for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff.
KARAMEA DUE 3 P.M.—Further wireless advice from the tbhaw, Savill and Albion Company’s new motor-ship Karamea states she will arrive from London at three o’clock this afternoon. She will berth at Prince’s Wharf to unload a large quantity of general merchandise for Auckland to the agency of A. S. Paterson and Company, Ltd. The remainder of the cargo is for Wellington. RUAHINE TO LOAD. —The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Ruahine leaves Lyttelton on Tuesday for Auckland, where she is due next Friday to continue her loading for Home. She sails from this port again on November 3 for Wellington, thence Napier to fill up and is scheduled to sail finally from the latter port on November 10 for Southampton and London, via Panama.
DEVON’S MOVEMENTS.—The Federal steamer Devon is due at Wellington this morning from New Plymouth, and leaves on Wednesday for Napier, thence Auckland to fill up under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. She is due here on Monday, October 29, and Is expected to clear this port finally on October 31 for New York, Halifax, London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama.
HERTFORD. REPORTS.—Wireless advice from the Federal Line steamer Hertford states she will reach. Auckland at six o’clock next Wednesday evening. The vessel is from Liverpool with general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and New Plymouth. The New Zealand Shipping Company is the local agent.
K AZAM BE REPORTS.—The EllermanBucknall steamer Kazambe, from New York, via Suva, will reach Auckland at six o'clock on Tuesday morning, according to her wireless report to the New Zealand Shipping Company. The vessel is under charter to the A. and A. Line, and has case oil and general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She has been allotted a berth at Central Wharf.
NAURU PHOSPHATE STEAMERS.— Advice received by Henderson and Macfa rlane. Limited, states the steamer Nauru Chief is now expected to leave Nauru Island next Tuesday with a full cargo of phosphates for Auckland.
The company has also been advised that the steamer Copenhagen is to leave Nauru Island on October 29 for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers.
The steamer Lornaston has been chartered to load 8.000 tons of phosphates at Nauru Island for discharge at Auckland and Wanganui.
LINERS FROM HOME.—The New Zealand Shipping Company reports that its liner Ruapehu, after loading at London, will leave Southampton on. November 2 for Wellington, to land passengers, and will afterwards discharge cargo at Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Napier and New Plymouth. The vessel is due at Wellington on December 12. She will be followed by the Remuera, which is to leave Southampton November 23 for Wellington and Auckland. The Remuera is due at Wellington on December 29, and at Auckland a week later.
TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO STEAMERS. —The Union Compand advises the following movements of vessels engaged in the trans-Pacific cargo services:— The Waitemata left Los Angeles on October 12 and is due at Auckland on November 6. going thence to Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Nelson and New Plymouth. She will proceed thence to Suva and Vancouver. The Nordhval will load at Vancouver and San Francisco early in November for Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney. The Sussex left Wellington on October 17 for Vancouver direct. The Wairuna left Auckland last evening for Apia, Fanning Island and Vancouver. The Waikawa left Bluff on October 17 for Melbourne, Sydney, Suva and Vancouver. The Hauraki will leave Wellington today for Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Vancouver. The forward loading dates at Pacific Coast ports are approximately as follow: The Waihemo is to leave Vancouver on October 22 and San Francisco on November 5 for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney, and is due at Auckland on November 30. The Nordhval, loading for Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney, is to leave Vancouver on November 7, and San Francisco on November 13.
The Wairuna will load at Vancouver. Ran Francisco, and Los Angeles for Papeete. Auckland. Wellington. Melbourne and Sydney, and is to clear Los Angeles on December 7.
The Hauraki is to leave Vancouver on December 8 and Ran Francisco on December 31. for Auckland. Wellington. Melbourne. Adelaide and Rvdnev. and is due at Auckland on January 22.
The Waikawa will load for Napier. Lyttelton. Bluff, and New Plymouth. at Vancouver. Ran Francisco and Los Angeles, and is to leave the lastnameffl port on January 4.
