HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE October 30—“ The Girl Friend” and "Hit the Deck,” Annie Croft. November. Dion Boucicault and Irene Vanbrugh. COMING J. C. Williamson Celebrity Vaudeville. “Princess Charming." "Castles in the Air.” ST. JAMES THEATRE Now Playing.—“Stiffy and Mo” Revue Co. COMING “Baby Cyclone" and “Good News.” Elsie Prince and Jimmy Godden.
“The Girl Friend,” which was hilled to open at His Majesty’s Theatre on November 3, will open on October 30. Annie Croft will play the lead. * * * Dorothy Gish, the movie star, has gone back to the stage. Her husband is James Rennie, whose brother was in New Zealand with “Abie’s Irish Rose.” Diana Wilson, here with Laurence Grossmith in “Captain Applejohn’s Adventure,” and other pieces, has been playing in repertory in Cardiff, Wales. The critics have referred to Miss Wilson’s acting in “The Sign of the Door” as being comparable with that of Gladys Cooper, while “The Queen was in the Parlour” recalls to their mind the good acting of Madge Titheradge—again to the great credit of Diana Wilson.
