“FISH" SLEEVES

FIN-SHAPED ELBOWS MUCH PLEATING Although numerous designs have entered this season's fashions to change the regular lines of sleeves, there is nothing so strikingly novel as the “'fish” sleeve, which resemlbes its namesake in a finely pleated fin shape. One model frock displayed in a salon window recently was of dim oyster grey showing “fish” sleeves with the fin effect on the elbows. The frock itself was perfectly plain but for a row of buttons on the bodice and back, and a high collar finely pleated to match the effective sleeve trimmings. It is a wise plan to wear this new design for sleeves only on simple frocks, for, being so distinctive, the “fish” variety could become vei*y tiresome if accompanied by too many frills or quantities of embroidery.
