Fashion in Geometric Mood

r -j Modernistic Crazes

This is liie age of geometry in rtress..+ From the designs on her shoes to the applique work on her hat, Miss Modern revels in those geometrical figures which were the bane of her school days. Triangles and circles are to be found on practically all the latest ensembles, particularly jumper suits, where they abound, giving a note of distinction and a striking modernistic effect. One model jumper suit of black satin, pictured by Petrov above, shows the triangles carried out on the jumper with white silk pipings, and by inserted triangular pleats on the skirt. Afternoon gowns have introduced

novel triangular sleeves and drapes, which show clearly that the geometry vogue means charm and grace, and not a stiffness which might be supposed. For evening the vogue is carried to

earrings hanging almost to i the shoulders. The most attractive example yet i seen of geometry designs in an even- ! ing dress made its appearance last I week at a recent dance. Worn by a tall girt; the frock reached almost to the ankles at the side, circles of gold | sequins embossed the whole of the bodice except for a small section of nude georgette which helped as a suitable background for the triangle of circles. A long triangle of gold georgette, starting at the waist, made another triangle which nnished at the knees.
