PLAY PRESENTED
FOR SCHOOL FUNDS The funds of the Otahuhu Public School will benefit considerably as the result of the efforts of the Pafatoetoe Literary and Debating- Society’s presentation of the comedy, “A Full House,” in the Orpheus Theatre, Ota • hiihu, on Thursday evening. A capacity house greeted the society’s efforts. The acting throughout reflected great credit on the efforts of the producer Mr. C. A. Moore. Mr. Le Roy Henderson was stage manager. The roles were filled by Miss Doreen Death as “Susan,” a maid: Miss Lulu Hunter, Mrs. Howell, a bride: Mrs. Edwards. “Auntie,” a spinster; Miss Leah Roseveare, “Daphne,” a flapper; Miss Mary Wilson, “Mrs. Fleming,” owner of the apartments; Miss Joyce Knight “Vera,” a vamp; Miss McFarland, “Mrs. Pembroke,” owner of the necklace, and Ned’s mother; Mr. C. Mahon, “Parks.” an English butler; Mr. Le Roy Henderson, “King.” a burglar; Mr. W. McFarland, “Howell,” a lawyer; Mr. French. “Ned Pembroke,” a wealthy youth: Mr. Rankin, sergeant of police: Mr. Upfold, ‘“Constable Mooney”: Mr. Snelling. “Constable Kearney.”
