At the monthly meeting of the Henderson branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, Mrs. Platt occupied the chair and there was a full attendance. The Frances Willard Home requested assistance and it was decided to forward the usual contribution. Correspondence was received on the observance of Armistice Day, and it was agreed that special attention should be given to the subject of “Peace” in the Sunday Schools on November 11. Arrangements were made for a social meeting to be held at an early date and a committee was appointed for this purpose, a speaker to bo obtained from town to present the prizes won by the school children for ' the best essay on “Temperance.” The I annual meeting is to be held in I November and Mothers’ Day early in | December.
