CARLTON CROQUET CLUB
Carlton Croquet Club opened the season in fine weather. Mrs. Hamilton, the president, welcomed members and visitors, and congratulated the club on the excellent condition of the lawns. She also referred to the success which had attended the efforts of the members of the committees during the winter in raising funds for the upkeep of the club’s property. The absence, through illness, of Mr. R. S. Lawrence, was mentioned with regret. His valuable aid for many years past was remembered. Cucksey (vice-presidents), Mrs. William Perry (honorary secretary), Mrs. T. Wilson (honorary treasurer), Mrs. Aicken, Mrs. Bird,« Mrs. Davy, Mrs. Lawrence, Mrs. Page and Miss Keatley. A progressive croquet tournament was held, the prize-winners being Mrs. Clarkson and Miss Shaw (A grade), and Mrs .Tobson (B grade).
