Bisox to Have Her Final Cup Trial

IN WAVERLEY CUP AN INTERESTING CARD Outside of the Wellington and Waikato Hunt Club meetings on Monday, most interest will be focussed upon the Waverley Club’s fixture, the fields for which are exceptionally good. Quite a good lot remain in the Cup. including Bisox. wno will be having her last run in public prior to going to Riccarton to contest the New Zealand Cup. The Winter Cup and Avondale Cup victor has gone on the right way the past few weeks, and has exhibited rare dash in her gallops at Hawera. The Waverley Cup affords an excellent chance for Wanganui and Taranaki New Zealand Cup candidates to have a nice public work-out. For instance, three years ago The Banker captured the Waverley Cup, and a fortnight later won the New Zealand Cup. Will Bisox follow suit? Probably. It is not every horse that can handle tho Waverley track, with its wavy course, and it has been remarkable for the number of “certainties” failing in a manner puzzling to their backers, for which the course has had to take the blame. Apparently the up and down sward does not trouble Bisox. for in each of her last three starts there she has finished second Entitled to be among the favourites on Monday in their engagements are the following: Morton Memorial Maiden.— Llanore and Havering. Brewer Handicap.— Vast Acre and Limited. Hack Hurdles. Glengariff and T roilus. Wilson Hack Handicap.— Boy and Whisogne. Waverley-Wai to tara Cup. Bisox and Royal Mint.
