NEW PICTURES HUNG AT ART GALLERY

THE four pictures which were purchased recently for the Auckland Art Gallery from the Sir Arthur Myers bequest have now been permanently placed on the gallery walls. The pictures are: A portrait by Augustus John, a D. Y. Cameron, a Raffaeli and a Beach.

On their arrival at the Art Gallery they were placed on a screen until sufficient space was found on the walls to hang the pictures to their best advantage. This has now been done, and there have been many visitors to the gallery to admire the latest acquisitions.
