The Hon. K. W. Alison. M.L.C., left for Wellington by train last evening: Dr. R. Tracy Inglis returned this morning from a short visit to Wellington. Mr. S. Carruthers. of Wellington, arrive*! in Auckland this morning by the Limited. LieuL-Colonel F. Symon, C.M.G., D. 5.0., arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Mr. G. A. Troup. Mayor of Wellington. has, at the request of the Civic League, consented to stand again for the Mayoralty. Mr. M. H. Wynyard, deputychairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, returned from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Mr. 'J. F. Mackley, locomotive engineer. Auckland railways, will leave for Wellington to-morrow to attend a sitting of the Railway Appeal Board. Colonel Knott, chief secretary of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited on his way to England. He was accompanied by Mrs. Knott. Mr. E. C. Gage, chief telegraph engineer, Auckland, returned by the Limited this morning from a business trip to Wellington. Mr. A. Campbell, deputy-engineer, also returned. Mr. David L. Nathan will leave Wellington by the Makura for Sydney next Wednesday. He will then travel via Suez to London, returning to the Dominion with his daughter early next year.
