KING GIVES CASTLES AWAY
PRESENT TO ISLE OF MAN British Official Wireless RUGBY, Wednesday. King George has presented to the Isle of Man Peel Castle and Castle Rushen. The former is a picturesque ruin, but the latter, which was once the residence of Kings and lords of the Isle of Man, is one of the most perfect specimens of medieval military architecture in the British Isles. The gift also includes a fair ground at Tynwald, near the mount on which the laws of the island have been proclaimed every year for the past 1,000 years. ,
