RIALTO, AND REGENT, EPSOM
“THE RUSH HOUR” Marie Prevost, finely supported bv Harrison Ford and Seena Owen, scored an emphatic triumph in her new comedy-drama, “The Rush Hour/’ shown last evening- at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres. From start to fipish the production is intensely arresting. “The Rush Hour’* is the amazing story of a beautiful stowaway who fought ferry schedules until she found romance in a foreign land—a delightful picture production with a charming, refreshing star and a brilliant cast in characterisations at once artistic, convincing and entertaining—a story of unsurpassed beauty and thrills. ‘‘Footloose Widows,” starring Louise Fazenda and Jacqueline Logan, is the second feature. It is a story of two manequins who set out in borrowed frocks to catch a millionaire.
“Roses of Picardy,” the British masterpiece known as “England’*, answer to the ‘Big Parade’.” will be released at an early date by* British Dominions Films. Power and characterisation are said to be the distinctive features of this production, adapted from R. H. Mottram’s well-known story, “The Spanish Farm.” The leading roles are played by Lillian Hall Davies and John Stuart.
