“WHIRLIGIGS” ATTRACTION New turns and jests will be revealed by the inimitable pair, Stiffy and Mo, at this evening’s performance of the “Whirligigs” revue at St. James Theatre. Nat Phillips and Roy Rene (Stiffy and Mo) are establishing a great reputation in Auckland for sheer humour. They are first-class revue fun-makers. they are not the only ones with a flair for wit in “Whirligigs.” Jack Kelleway frequently appears to add his part to the jesting. As the drummer in the jazz band. Mo makes a wonderful hit. Stiffy also gives his version of the correct conductorship of the band. The Charleston Symphonie Six stage band is still making an impression with its clever interpretation of the popular “Ramona.” Members of the band also feature solo turns. The combination is one of the cleverest seen in revue in Auckland. Distinctive frocking and light dancing characterise the Radio Six ballet. The dancers appear in several wellstaged items. Enjoyable singing is heard from Amy Rochelle and Sadie Gale, and Daisy Merritt is one of the leading players in the short musical comedy revuette, I “The Bellboys.” “Whirligigs” has claim to prominence j as bright, 'well-organised entertain- I ment.
