METROPOLITAN FIXTURE KOHARA’S CUP PENALTY

Kohara, winner of the Spring Handicap at the Auckland fixture on Monday, is the first of the New Zealand CUP field to receive a penalty for the November event. Last year’s winner wa£ originally handicapped on 12yds but has been penalised 12yds and b lB mark will now be 24yds (4.24). Other Auckland winners have baa their handicaps altered as follows for the Ricarton Handicap; Laplander* 36yds; Sunfisli, 48yds; Harvest Chiia, 60yds. Bankhead, whose handicap withheld, is placed on the limit. Fre Advice, after her victory yesterday, has been rehandicapped to 24yds In tn Empire Handicap.
