Airman Loses Consciousness, Dives, and Regains Control

(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Received 12.57 a.m. LONDON, Wednesday. A ROYAL AIR FORCE pilot, while testing a new all-metal Bristol bnll-dog fighter at the Air Ministry’s testing station, lost consciousness in rarefied air at a five miles’ altitude. The machine dived at a speed of 300 mile* an hour. The pilot regained consciousness and resumed control. The altimeter showed that it had dived three miles.
