FRENCH LINERS HELD UP
STRIKES AT MARSEILLES • (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 12.15 p.m. MARSEILLES. Wednesday. A strike of sailors, who are demanding an increase of 25s a month on their wages, recently held np several liners by means of one-day strikes. The owners, retaliating, have withdrawn several vessels and dismissed the crews. The dock labourers are supporting the strikers, and extension, of the trouble is feared.
