AUSTRALIA BEHIND THE TIMES LONDON, Tuesday. - With the title “Advance Please, Australia,” “Punch” prints a full-page cartoon depicting a charming jprl in a most up-to-date evening gown, and labelled, "Commonsens,” addressing an Eton-cropped and obsolescentlygowned, pugnacious damsel labelled “Strike Policy.” The accompanying dialogue runs: “New Era, English style, to Tradesunionism, Australian style: 'Mv dear, what a frock! You’re terribly behind the times.’ ” A footnote explains that in spite of an excellent Arbitration Act. Australia still seems addicted to the strike habit.
